What do we have now? 10 posts? And 3 of them are already smoothies (see our Peanut Butter Pear Oat and Blueberry Beet smoothies). Sorry. But not really. Smoothies are definitely one of my favorite breakfasts. I’ll even have them for dinner if I find them filling enough, and this one definitely meets that classification.
I was going for a post work out friendly smoothie when I made this one. I’ve heard that bananas, chocolate milk, yogurt, and nuts are all good post workout snacks, so I thought I’d just combine them all into one. Whoa. This smoothie contains about 16 grams of protein (with the brands we used anyway). Not only is packed with protein, it makes a pretty yummy drink, and we hope you try it.

- 2 bananas, frozen
- 5 oz Greek yogurt
- ½ c almond milk (or any milk really)
- 1 Tbs mini chocolate chips (or cacao nibs)
- 2 Tbs cocoa powder*
- ¼ c sliced almonds
- 1 Tbs honey
- ⅛ tsp almond extract, optional
- Blend all ingredients in your blender until smooth.
