We’re a happy little family who love to snuggle and go on adventures together. Between us and our best buddy, Jake, there’s always hair everywhere.
Though Keegan is from Minnesota and I’m from Tennessee, you could say that we’re from New Zealand. That’s where our story began. It was there that we met, fell in love, and experienced the most wonderful times together. We both traveled there for a YWAM backpacking mission trip. Three months were spent listening to various speakers and learning more about God. The next three months, Keegan, myself, and four other cool kids (Jason, Ben, Jaron, and Liz – love you guys!) spent time hiking around New Zealand and meeting fun people in backpacker hostels, trekking through the Himalayas in Nepal and staying in a few villages to help, and relaxed for a few days at a beach resort in Thailand.
While I feel incredibly blessed to have been able to take part in all of that, I am more elated by the fact that I was able to do it all with Keegan. Our relationship was founded on such deep, spiritual, and adventurous experiences that I believe it allowed us to grow exceptionally close and intimate as friends before we became a couple. I love him with such a deep and unique love that I can’t love anyone else with. And he loves me like that in return.
We went on two dates (our first in New Zealand and the second in Chicago) before he proposed in Wisconsin and got married four months later in Tennessee. From the time we met to our first anniversary, we had been to three different countries and eight different states together. It’s not hard to tell that travel and adventure make us tick. We hope to see it all someday.
If there’s one last thing you should know about us, it’s that we’re a package deal. You won’t see one of us without the other. Whatever we do with our lives, we know we want to do it together, and we believe this blog is the beginning of that vision.
We are truly grateful for you taking the time to read more about us. We hope you stick around for our ever unfolding journey of food and travel!
